SHORT DESCRIPTION
a lithe tortoise-shell she-cat with amber eyes
PERSONALITY
- SHORT-TEMPERED. explosively so, in fact. thrushwing is not a docile she-cat by any means; she's quick to trigger, and once she is, she roars like a lion. she's prone to outbursts and fits, especially when something doesn't go her way. she's easy to rile up, and she's especially hateful toward those outside of her clan, ready to draw her claws on them in a moment's notice. not even any kind of respect she might have for starclan (if there's any at all) overrides her need to fight, and she's more than willing to make other warriors suffer if she believes that they deserve it. she's merciless, and it makes her a fearsome warrior indeed.
- HAUGHTY. the result of being spoiled as a kit, thrushwing is extremely arrogant. she believes herself deserving of the deputy title, and she's sure she'd have it if she wasn't so young and her mother hadn't taken it before her. she thinks she's the top of the food chain, the most expensive dollar, and she makes it known. she expresses no hesitation in bossing around apprentices, and can even be defiant toward her leader and her mother. she's, in essence, a spoiled brat who thinks she's entitled to everything.
- EXPRESSIVE. this is not a cat who is a recluse by any means. thrushwing socializes with the best of them, and she socializes to a rather extreme degree. rather than pulling in on herself, she's the type to gesticulate and openly mock. she doesn't hide her feelings, seeing no necessity in doing so; instead, she puts them at the forefront and uses them as devices to get what she wants and believes she deserves. she hates anyone who tries to push her emotional reactions down, and is willing to show her demands if necessary.
- DETERMINED. if thrushwing has anything that keeps her from being kicked out, it's her sheer determination. she's a warrior, through and through, deep down to her bones, designed to fight. she doesn't give up a chase. she'll doggedly pursue her dreams and she won't let anyone dissuade her. it's how she is with being a deputy, how she was to be a warrior, and how she will be in defending her clan. she doesn't stop until her body demands her to drop, until she has full retreat of the enemy. this determination can be rather constructive for the clan when she learns how to apply it properly to help her clanmates.
- AMBITIOUS. as stated, she wants to be a deputy. she thinks she's deserving of it and will do whatever she can to prove to her mother that she's worthy of it once canarycry becomes a leader. she's unapologetic about this, absolutely certain in her convictions. she doesn't just aim high there, either. if there's a border scuffle, she won't admit defeat; she will work until she's sure that she has won. she believes she's the one true winner, the best cat, the one who deserves a crown upon her head and she will fight and claw her way to the top in order to prove that to everyone else.
- INTELLIGENT. you would think someone prone to outbursts and anger is someone who doesn't know how to logic very well. such is not the case for thrushwing. she knows fully well the impact her words have on others. she's intelligent, intuitive, and much of what she does is planned (other than the outbursts themselves, of course). she knows exactly what she's doing. it's really her being spoiled when she was a kitten that prevented her from learning decency. she knows that it exists, but it's difficult for her to come to terms with how it might be advantageous for her in any way. she knows how to control other cats, so why should she let that go?
- LOYAL. the one central trait of hers that's preventing her from being a menace to her clan is her sheer loyalty toward it. thrushwing is a duskclan and starclan devout, although she won't let the rules of her furry ancestors tell her what she should and shouldn't do. what she does, she honestly thinks is for the benefit of the clan. she may not connect to her individual clanmates as much, but she certainly feels duskclan is her home and is willing to do whatever it takes to prove as such. she believes duskclan is better than all the other clans and she's willing to lay her life on the line for that point to be proven.
- BLUNT. thrushwing doesn't mince words. she'll tell a grieving couple to get over it. she'll tell someone who's being lazy (in her eyes, anyway) that they're being lazy. she doesn't hide how she feels about a topic and as such, is very blunt about it. she doesn't sugarcoat because she doesn't think it's necessary to do so. she's not a kit and neither are those she talks to. if they can't accept the truth, that demonstrates their inability to grow up and contribute to the clan, and thus makes them deserving of her talking down to them. she won't hesitate in letting them know just how exactly she feels.
- RESTLESS. thrushwing is best when she's given something to do. she's not necessarily destructive on her own, but she'll be predisposed to pace and get annoyed and bored when she has nothing to do. she used to have problems with sleeping when she was a kit, and although she can settle into the nest without much of a hitch nowadays, thrushwing still isn't much a fan of sleeping. she'd rather be up and about doing things and providing for the clan. she loves hunting and she loves the thrill of battle, and it only contributes to her addiction to movement, rather than sitting around at camp sharing tongues.
- SASSY. inherited from her mother, thrushwing doesn't pull punches when it comes to sarcasm. she'll give a sarcastic remark readily if she believes that what you said is mouse-brained. this contributes to her active defiance toward authority if she believes it doesn't suit her wants at that particular time.
HISTORY
- Born to Canarycry, the deputy, and Alderstrike, the warrior, it only makes sense that the passion of both passed down onto Thrushkit and Swiftkit, named in order to keep up the trend of bird names. Canarycry herself named her, but funnily enough it was Alderstrike who devoted his love and attention to her, primarily.
- During kithood, Thrushkit had always been outgoing. A blunt edge to her words as she felt she wouldn't need to soften them earned her trouble more often than not. She played rather rough with her brother, too.
- Rather than discouraging her rough-and-tumble behavior, it became encouraged, to the point that she was spoiled by both of her parents. This led to a holier-than-thou attitude that carried on even into her apprentice age, when she became known as Thrushpaw.
- Ivycloud, a submissive sort of cat, often got pushed around by Thrushpaw. Oh, they tried valiantly in order to keep her under control, but she proved her stubbornness on more than one occasion. Any attempts to temper her...temper wound up being ineffective.
- During one of her training sessions, she had actually gone as far as to injure her mentor. It was ruled that she'd done so simply out of a lack of training, rather than an actual desire to harm them.
- She'd participated in a small skirmish between herself and a RunningClan cat. Knowing that her warrior promotion would be delayed, she intimidated Ivycloud into keeping quiet about it. The warrior still has yet to mention it to anyone.
- Where Thrushpaw lacked in decency, she more than compensated for in pure skill. It was for this reason alone, for the safety she could provide her Clan, that she earned her warrior name of Thrushwing when she grew old enough. She drew concerns from older warriors who thought she might disobey StarClan or their leader, but they were often assured that her dedication more than made up for her haughtiness.
- Being a recent warrior, she hasn't been exposed to the harshities that are common with being older. She's prepared, of course.
