PERSONALITY
- helpful; she's always been helpful, even as a kit. when she has nothing to do or finds herself with some free time, codpaw can usually be found asking around the camp if anyone needs help with anything. she also goes out of her way to do things without asking.
- thoughtful; codpaw is thoughtful; she will usually leave camp to stock up on herbs in advance before piles get low. she also keeps an eye out for silverwisp, letting her know of what she hears from warriors passing the medicine cat's den.
- doubtful; codpaw is constantly weighed down by self-doubt, always worrying and wondering if she has made the right decisions in life.
- insightful; an insightful she-cat, she often sees more than what's visible on just the surface. it's an obvious trait to others, but one she seems unable to recognise in herself.
- attentive; codpaw is extremely attentive to her patients in the medicine den, constantly seeing to it that they're as comfortable as possible and want for nothing. she is almost motherly when it comes to her patients, even to the elders and warriors.
- nervous; a nervous cat. codpaw is always preparing for the worst. despite that she is a fairly talented medicine cat, she will voice her fears over having brought the wrong herbs back, confused one herb for another, or forgotten an ingredient.
- shy; codpaw keeps to herself much, and aside from silverwisp, doesn't really interact with her clanmates. she's shy, and definitely stays on the sidelines to avoid involvement.
- lack of confidence; codpaw lacks confidence in herself and her actions. she always jumps to the worst conclusions and is the first to put herself down when she makes a mistake or does something wrong. she believes she'll never be a good medicine cat at this rate, and thinks her dreams as a kit were foolish.
HISTORY
- since they were apprentices, pebblenose and fishleap were destined to be together. it was no surprise when they admitted to the clan that they were expectant parents. pebblenose gave birth to two healthy girls, silverkit and codkit.
- both kits were the pride and joy of their parents. silverkit was determined to be the best hunter in currentclan, while codkit was heading down the gentler path of a medicine cat.
- when the kits turned six moons old and became apprentices, silverpaw moved into the apprentices' den and codpaw the medicine cat's. despite being separated for the first time in their lives, the sisters remained very close.
- codpaw did well in her first moons of training. she was attentive and a hard worker. but though her heart was in the right place, her loyalties weren't. she began to struggle internally with the decisions she had made, and whether they were the right ones for her.
- she kept her doubts to herself, though, and kept up the facade of a happy apprentice in the moons to come. even silverpaw, her only confidant, had no clue as to how codpaw truly felt.
- when silverpaw was made into a warrior, codpaw was the one cheering her name the loudest. however, despite having chosen the life of a medicine cat, seeing her sister became a warrior left codpaw with a sense that something was missing in her life, and the doubts unfortunately returned.
