SHORT DESCRIPTION

PERSONALITY
[li]BOLD ~> to the time she was just a young kit Branchstar was always known to be a bold and fearless character. Branchstar is also very opinionated and not afraid to speak up. She isn't afraid to stare death right in the face or is intimidated by others. There are a few things she is afraid of however and that is failing her Clan, and the safety of those dear to her.[/li]
[li]CLUMSY ~> by no means is Branchstar an elegant or graceful cat. When she is distracted she tends to run into things or trip on her own paws. For example, if you called her name she would look back at who called her, if she was walking she would either run into a bush or tree, and if she wasn't she would trip on her own paws while turning. Branchstar also becomes quite the klutz when she is worried or flustered in some way. Surprisingly enough however, Branchstar is usually not that bad of a hunter... well as long as you don't call out her name. As for in battle, she isn't at all clumsy but is in fact a hard fighter.[/li]
[li]FAIR ~> Branchstar is fair by nature. She doesn't take to favoritism and tries her best to be open minded around others. She is also tolerant and patient towards others, especially to apprentices and kits and listens to others' point of view or story before judging them. In addition, Branchstar is always willing to give a cat a chance or even a second chance if she finds their regret and apology genuine. When cats do wrong and she has to punish them for it, she would always try to think up one that fits the bill instead of being harsh or too lenient.[/li]
[li]INTELLIGENT ~> one of her best traits is her intelligence. It isn't easy to manipulate or lie to her because she has a pretty good sense of when cats aren't being honest. In many ways you can describe Branchstar as a strategist or a tactician; someone that's always with a plan.[/li]
[li]LOYAL ~> of course she is loyal and devoted to her Clan but what cat isn't. Branchstar however isn't just loyal to her Clan or Clanmates, she is also loyal to her family and friends. She always tries to be there for them and to help them when they need it. When they need someone to talk to she is always willing to sit and listen and try to understand what they are going through. If they need a favor or help with some task Branchstar tries her best to do so but being Clan leader it is never easy with so much responsibility.[/li]
[li]KIND ~> Branchstar is a kind soul and is considered quite sociable and pleasant to be around. She is the sort of cat that tries to make peaceful solutions rather than turn to violence unless absolutely necessary. If a cat is down Branchstar would talk to that cat to see what was wrong and how she could help.[/li]
[li]ORGANIZED / NEAT ~> this is better described as a neat freak. Branchstar loves things to be clean and just so. This trait she has always had when she was just a kit. She absolutely hates getting dirty or wet, and tries to keep her pelt clean of twigs and leaves and keep it smooth without knots. Branchstar is highly organized and pays attention to detail. Often enough Branchstar makes lists in her head and memorizes them enough not to forget them. Several of these include asking each of her cats how they were doing and getting reports not just by border patrols but hunting and see how the elders, queens and apprentices were doing.[/li]
[li]PROUD ~> Branchstar is usually a proud and stubborn cat. She doesn't easily give in but it's not impossible either and she hates it when she realizes she is wrong. She is the kind of cat that barely asks for help.[/li]
[li]SARCASTIC ~> when Branchstar is irritated or in pain she would be quite sarcastic though she usually has a good sense of humor any other time. Though she doesn't flat out admit that she's in pain or something is really bothering her, those that know her could tell when she gets easily distracted and or sarcastic. Usually her pride prevents her from admitting them even if you come right up to her but if your persistent enough she would eventually break down and admit what is wrong.[/li]
[li]WORRIER ~> usually Branchstar is calm and composed but when something unexpected happens and things unravel Branchstar does get panicky a bit. These doesn't happen often as she is a problem solver, but for problems she can't crack she does lose her cool. During difficult or dangerous times Branchstar does become a worry wart for her Clanmates and family. Especially if one is sick or badly hurt. Normally it wouldn't be considered a negative but when Branchstar worries she paces and gets distracted which leads her to being clumsy.[/li]

HISTORY
- Shadowstar and Lilyfrost are many moons apart in age. In fact Shadowstar, Shadowclaw then was Lilyfrost's mentor. They barely got along and always argued but they respected one another. Lilypaw especially respected Shadowclaw not just because he was deputy but because he easily took control whenever Needlestar the elder Clan leader's health declined enough he couldn't handle his responsibilities.
- A few moons into her apprenticeship, Needlestar loses his final life and Shadowclaw became the new leader of TwilightClan. Though Shadowstar was busy with his new responsibility as Clan leader he always made time for Lilypaw. After driving out a badger, Shadowstar thought she was fit to become a warrior and was named Lilyfrost for her quick thinking and strong nature. For moons they had disagreed on a number of things, but as time went by the arguing became less and less as Lilyfrost realized she had more than just respect for her leader but has fallen in love. When that has happened she has no idea.
- Many moons later Lilyfrost bears kits; two she-kits and one tom. One she-kit looked exactly like her except for the eye color. The other she-kit was white and brown with black or dark brown stripes, just like Lilyfrost's mother, Bramblenose. The third kit was the smallest and he was a golden tabby. They named the white kit Mallowkit, the golden tabby Waspkit, and the brown and white tabby Branchkit for her brown coloring and stripes.
- Throughout their kithood was more or less normal. Although Waspkit was known to be a trouble maker and prankster who always managed to get his sisters into trouble with him. Mallowkit was sweet if not shy, and she always clanged to her parents or littermates. Branchkit was bold and organized even then. Throughout the moons Branchkit was the one who always tried to get Waspkit to behave but most of the time ends up getting caught up in his messes. Her best friend, Lionkit, a large golden tom kit who was only a few moons older than her was usually the one that helped her get out of these messes though he too sometimes gets caught into them. By five moons of age, a powerful storm took hold of the forest killing a few cats who were out on patrol from falling trees. Shadowstar lost his seventh life when pushing one of his Clanmates out of the way of a falling pine tree. Both of Lionpaw's parents were killed by a falling tree when out on border patrol. It was a tragic event that shook Lionpaw to the core and made him more distant towards others including his best friend Branchkit.
- Half a moon after the storm, Mallowkit, Waspkit, and Branchkit became apprentices. Each received a mentor that would help them become not just good warriors but help with their faults. Mallowpaw received a cheerful and patient mentor to help with her shy and slow personality. For Wasppaw he received a strict no nonsense mentor to control his mischievous nature. As for Branchpaw, she was given Timberfoot for her mentor. Timberfoot was Shadowstar's best friend and was fairly close to the kits, almost like a secondary father to them. He taught Branchpaw a lot throughout her apprenticeship but he wasn't just her mentor but also her advisor. Even back then Branchpaw was proud and stubborn about asking for help and advice. However, with Timberfoot who was persistent enough not to let things go and patiently prodded her till she told him her problems and fears. They became closer and more and more Branchpaw would go to Timberfoot even without him prodding her.
- Throughout the apprenticeship, Branchpaw focused more and more on her training. She has a dream, a goal to achieve. She wanted to become her father's deputy one day, to help lead their Clan together. Half way through her training however, her focus gradually turned to her former best friend Lionpaw who had declined increasingly throughout the moons in his training to becoming a warrior. He was distant to his entire Clan and argued so much with his mentors. After his most recent mentor gave up on him Shadowstar changed his mentors again for the third time and decided to train Lionpaw himself. It was a challenge even for Shadowstar, and though Lionpaw was a gifted fighter and decent hunter he avoided going on patrols with his Clanmates or socializing with his denmates. In the distance Branchpaw stood watching her former friend, not knowing what to do or how to help. After all if her father couldn't change Lionpaw how could she?
- One night Branchpaw woke and saw one the apprentices sneaking out of the den. It didn't take her long to realize it was Lionpaw who exited the den. Concerned for him, Branchpaw followed him out of camp and deep into the forest. After watching him from a distance for so long she had noticed the way he walked, the solemn gloomy stride of someone who has more or less given up. Branchpaw didn't know why because tomorrow was his last assessment. When he got to the border Branchpaw finally showed herself to stop him, figuring it out he was going to leave the Clan that night. Lionpaw was shocked to see that he had been followed but more so when it was Branchpaw. She begged him not to leave the Clan but he refused to listen. When she asked why he was leaving he told her he couldn't stand being in the Clan anymore. After losing his parents he became scared of getting close to anyone, fear of bearing his heart out to them and lose them. But as time went by he found it harder and harder to distance himself, not just from Shadowstar who refused to let him fall but because he couldn't stop loving the one cat he had fallen in love with before his parents death. To Branchpaw's surprise she realized she was that cat Lionpaw had fallen for. He told her that above everyone else he couldn't bare to see her get hurt and decided to leave.
- Lionpaw crossed the border and Branchpaw ran after him but slipped and fell in the river. Lionpaw turned back and saved her. As she had laid there coughing she made him promise not to leave. Seeing the pained expression in her eyes Lionpaw succumbed and promised her he would never leave her. The next day, Lionpaw received and passed his assessment while Branchpaw had to recover from her cold after her nightly dip in the river.
- By twelve moons of age Branchpaw along with her littermates were named warriors. Wasppaw was named Waspstrike for his quick reflexes and fighting skill and Mallowpaw was named Mallowsong. Branchpaw was named Branchflame for her bold and fearless fighting skills when dealing with foxes and badgers. Not long after becoming a warrior however, Branchflame realized she was bearing Lionroar's kits. It was a surprise as the two young cats had decided to wait for the right time, but it was a welcoming surprise never the less.
- Two moons after becoming a warrior Branchflame gave birth to a litter of three kits, one was stillborn. The stillborn was a tom but the two living kits were she-cats. One looked exactly like her father though more lean like her mother, they named her Goldenkit for her pelt color. The second kit with the long legs and pale ginger pelt they name Lightningkit not just because of the fur color but it was thought she would be a really fast runner once she grew up because of those long legs of hers.
- Branchflame loved raising her two daughters and loved it more when Lionroar became more and more involved in their life and hers. When her two kits became apprentices Branchflame was finally able to return to her duties as a warrior. After she got comfortable being a warrior, more than two moons later she was given her very first apprentice, Thunderpaw. He proved to be a challenge for her as he wasn't in the least a graceful tom because of his large paws that often gotten in his way. Branchflame was patient with him never the less, but things got easier as he hit his growth spurt. He quickly became less and less clumsy and into a great fighter. Near the end of Thunderpaw's apprenticeship however Branchflame realized she was pregnant for the second time, but was adamant to finish training Thunderpaw before going to the nursery.
- One moon later Thunderpaw was renamed Thunderstrike and finally Branchflame left for the nursery. A moon after that Branchflame gave birth to a litter of three kits, all healthy she-kits. One was a reddish ginger she-kit they named Applekit, the other was a brown and white tabby similar to Branchflame and was named Bouncekit due to the fact the kit wouldn't stay still. The smallest cream and white kit they named Flutterkit for her wavy fur and shivering. Soon after giving birth however, Branchflame realized her kits weren't getting any milk no matter how much they sucked. The medicine cat couldn't help her create the milk and ultimately the kits had to be given to other the other queens for milk. It hurt Branchflame and decided that she would return to her warrior duties since she couldn't produce any milk.
- For nearly a moon Branchflame turned to her warrior duties but visited her kits as often as she could. Lionroar stood by her side to help her bare the pain and the knowledge that she couldn't be with her kits like with her first litter. Shadowstar saw this as a sign after his deputy and former mentor, Crimsonleaf retires to the elder's den. That night he named his daughter, Branchflame, his deputy. It gave Branchflame what she needed to move pass her grief and not long after becoming deputy she proved how capable she was regardless of her young age.
- However, not long after becoming deputy and deep into leafbare, greencough took hold. Most of the warriors caught the sickness and claimed many lives, including Timberfoot who was an elder, her mother Lilyfrost, her close friends Brackenheart and Frostriver, and Mallowsong who gave birth to a litter of kits not long before getting sick. Her sister's kits too died, leaving the father Berrybranch grief stricken and broken. It wasn't long after they died that Berrybranch got sick and passed. The greencough was so bad it took moons for the Clan to recover from it. Worst of all Shadowstar got sick from it twice and lost two lives from the sickness. Shadowstar was now on his final life but thankfully not long after losing the second life he sickness let up.
- On the Clan's road to recover when newleaf was just starting a family of foxes set in the territory and terrorized the Clan, making hunting all the more difficult. Shadowstar lead two patrols to deal with the foxes. He lead one while Branchflame lead the other patrol. Together the two patrols slammed the foxes hard and managed to drive them out but it costed them. A few cats died from that battle, including Thunderstrike, but worst of all Shadowstar lost his final life. Branchflame mourned for her father with Lionroar by her side. With her medicine cat she left for the Mist-Caves and received her nine lives and new name. Branchstar then came back home and named her new deputy and devoting her life to lead her Clan as best as she could.
