PERSONALITY
- sweet; mothdust is a kind soul who is always happy to look after the clan. never once has she acted as if a sick cat was a burden thrust upon her.
- dedicated; mothdust will work tirelessly into the night to save a cat's life. even when she's at her most rundown, you'll never see her give up. her perseverance is one of her strongest qualities.
- religious; mothdust is a firm believer in starclan and is very devout, perhaps the most devout member of the clan. she often looks to her warrior ancestors for guidance, and keeps her eye out constantly for any signs from them. mothdust believes that to be a strong individual, having yourself rooted in faith is a must.
- helpful; a helpful individual, mothdust is always there to extend her paw to a cat in need, regardless of which clan they come from.
- intelligent; mothdust is an intelligent cat. memorizing herbs and poultice recipes comes easy to her, and she can absorb knowledge like a sponge.
- thoughtful; a thoughtful individual, mothdust will go out of her way to make sure members of the clan are comfortable. normally once a week she will go to the elders' den to see if any of the cats need anything, and she will bring a poultice to spread on cracked paw pads.
- selfless; mothdust is entirely selfless and gives all of herself to amberclan. her dedication to her clan means that she would never betray the warrior code for personal gain or desires, such as love or a family of her own.
- loyal; mothdust is a loyal amberclan cat. she sticks close to the warrior code and obeys the rules set down by her ancestors.
- motherly; she has strong maternal instincts and views every member of the clan as her family, as her own kits. even the oldest, crotchetiest elder is a kit in the eyes of a medicine cat!
- playful; mothdust has a playful heart. one of her favourite things to do is to help the queens out by keeping the clans' kits distracted. she will usually send them on treasure hunts around camp, hiding herbs for them to find!
HISTORY
- mothdust was born to ashwhisker and stonefur of amberclan, and is the younger sister of silvershadow. since she was a kit, she knew she wanted to become a medicine cat. starclan has always been close to her heart, and she views the entire clan as her family.
- when the time came, she was taken on as an apprentice by dustnose, the current medicine cat at the time. mothpaw quickly became an adept healer, spending hours studying and putting forth the effort to become the greatest medicine cat the clan had ever seen.
- her training went smoothly; dustnose was happy with her progress, and mothpaw was becoming a blessing in the clan's eyes. even the former medicine cat whiterabbit, who had since retired, had nothing but good things to say of moth - despite being known for her sharp tongue.
- even though she was a medicine cat apprentice, mothpaw often spent a lot of time with her sister silverpaw. the two would leave camp together, with mothpaw going off to gather herbs and silverpaw hunting or training. silverpaw would show mothpaw warrior moves, in case she should ever need to defend herself.
- mothpaw's training was cut short, however, when dustnose fell ill. the tom contracted greencough during an unexpected outburst, and found himself in the care of his own apprentice.
- unfortunately, dustnose succumbed to his illness. it was perhaps the first time the clan saw mothpaw truly shaken. having lost her mentor, and with cats still ill, she was unsure of what to do next. while she managed to keep a level head and heal the clan, grief enveloped her.
- whiterabbit found herself coming out of retirement to help mothpaw finish her training, although there wasn't much left for her to teach. the two cats became very close friends, and still remain so.
- a couple moons after dustnose's death, whiterabbit decided that it was time mothpaw received her full medicine cat name. mothpaw protested, insisting that she still had more to learn and that she was much too young to become a fully fledged medicine cat, but whiterabbit was adamant. she stated that even though mothpaw had suffered from the loss of her mentor, she was still able to stay emotionally strong enough to treat the rest of the clan's illness. they traveled to the mist-caves together.
- though hesitant to admit it, mothpaw was trembling with excitement when she received her medicine cat name. starclan gifted her with the name mothdust, in honour of her mentor.
- when she returned to the clan, mothdust was met with celebration. the warriors of the clan were proud of her. even her sister, though clearly jealous that mothdust had received her fullname before silverpaw, was by her side supporting her.
- since then, mothdust has settled in nicely as amberclan's medicine cat. she is not certain about taking on an apprentice so soon, but would not refuse the help!
