HOW PLOTTING ON WARRIOR'S EDGE WORKS

To give you some retrospect, plots can be divided into two major categories: site-wide plots and user sub-plots.

SITE-WIDE PLOTS

As the name indicates, a site-wide plot is the current blanketing plot for the entire forum. This plot usually affects ALL characters and Clans alike and have quite the grandeur to them. We, the staff, typically have plots lined up one after the other (at least one in advance); so we plan to keep them rolling in as much as possible!

The plots, once fully fleshed out and deemed functional, will get their own special introduction post in this board that’s all ~ fancy ~ and ~ plot-y ~ in nature. These may also include technical information about said plot as well.

There will also be breaks in between major plots, mostly so there won’t be too much drama all the time (y’know, death and betrayals and ominous messages from StarClan, stuff like that).

We would like to keep members extremely involved in these plots as member-involvement is what keeps all you lovely creatures coming back! (Right? Right.) Staff may, largely at random, select certain characters to play pivotal roles in the plot. We plan to base plot involvement off of character apps as well as RP threads, so be sure your character is making their mark on the forum! In relation, you are absolutely welcome to suggest yourself for or, on the other paw, refuse a starring role.

We would like to stress that one of the things that makes roleplaying these cats great is that they are very mortal and are very much at risk for death. As grim as it sounds we ENCOURAGE you to take risks by killing off your characters to keep the world state realistic and ever-changing. We don’t necessarily require frequent character deaths per say, but, let’s be honest, if your cat is going on 150 moons and still kicking then we may have to have a chat.

USER SUB-PLOTS

Now, we don't expect you to run every little plot you want to do amongst yourselves by the staff. Plots within the overarching plot or between major plots are considered sub-plots which are at member discretion. As long as no god-modding or major universal change is involved, you are free to plot with each other as much as you please. We encourage interacting and discussing plots OOC and IC. Post your user sub-plots here!

While we will always be looking for new ideas, members are encouraged to recommend that their sub-plot become a site-wide plot; and, in general, if you believe you have a good idea for a new plot then you are more than welcome to pm any admin/mod.
