it doesn't take a genius to realize the thick clouds that hung over the very nature of her birth. orchidpaw, littlepaw, and perchpaw were all born because thornclaw and codtail broke the warrior code and the very thought itself is a taboo among the clans. despite having a windclan father, she and her littermates spent their entire time as kits in skyclan camp under the care of silverwisp. the only cats who knew the secret were codtail, frostberry, and silverwisp herself. their true father was unaware of their birth.
orchidpaw is ashamed and embarrassed by her heritage, and knows that the rest of the clans believe her and her littermates to be nothing but a stain on the clans history. honeystar came to skyclan camp to claim the kits as windclan only recently, and orchidpaw had been the only one to join her father's clan. she wanted to get to know the tom, to learn why he committed the sins he committed, to get her own sense of closure.
she had left skyclan in the middle of the night, without telling her littermates. orchidpaw defected to windclan, knowing the weight of her actions might very well cause a war.
now a windclan apprentice, she fears the day she will have to meet her siblings in battle, but knows skyclan would never accept her as she would wanted.
