PERSONALITY
- loyal; mistystep is deathly loyal to her clan, willing to lay down life and limb to protecting it and her clanmates.
- formal; mistystep is very formal, even with the cats she is closest to. she maintains an air of professionalism wherever she goes, whomever she interacts with.
- loner; quite independent and capable of holding her own. if not in camp, mistystep is usually hunting alone. she finds herself uncomfortable in groups and is socially awkward in most situations.
- strict; mistystep is a strict individual; she follows the warrior code to heart and has her own moral code that influences her every day actions. there is no room for disobeying in mistystep's eyes.
- experienced; an experienced cat, mistystep makes an excellent mentor. she has experienced enough on and off the battlefield to contribute to her knowledgeable persona, one that many younger cats look up to.
- tactical; mistystep has always had a tactical mind, and this makes her a useful asset when it comes to planning battle training and retaliations towards attacks from other clans. she has sat in on many training sessions, not only because she is a senior warrior but because she has a talent for viewing things from a different perspective.
- mistrusting of outsiders; mistystep is slow to trust cats outside of her clan. she is an amberclanner through and through. though she would trust any cat within amberclan with her life, the same cannot be said for an outsider - even if she has met the same outside on several occasions and would have reason to trust them.
- clever; a clever cat, and it shows on the battlefield. mistystep uses her quick mind to her advantage, seeing as she can't rely on speed due to her size.
- strong; mistystep is a strong warrior - she's bulkier than most cats and has plenty of muscle mass. physically she is able to overpower most of her enemies with ease.
HISTORY
- mistykit was born on a quiet newleaf morning, her name taken from the thick mist that covered amberclan's camp that day. it was heatherfrost's first litter, and luckily all three kits survived. aside from mistkit, there was a tom and another she-cat - stonekit and mallowkit.
- since kit-hood mistykit was always strict and, as her siblings would say, 'un-fun'. she had great respect for her elders and the warrior code, and never got into trouble. she even took it upon herself to look after her younger siblings, despite their displeasure.
- at 6 moons, the three kits were named apprentices. mistykit became mistypaw, and was assigned her father rockrumble as her mentor. under rockrumble's guidance, mistypaw honed her skills and shortly grew into a talented apprentice, most renowned for her stealth on the battlefield and on the hunting grounds.
- during her apprenticeship, mistypaw made friends with then drakepaw, who later became known as @drakefang . though five moons older, the tom was of a like-mind, and mistypaw enjoyed his company. she was disappointed alongside happy for him when he was named a warrior - luckily, though, their friendship didn't break off.
- when she was 12 moons old, mistypaw encountered her first battle. a twilightclan patrol was found hunting on amberclan territory, and despite their attempts to dissuade the amberclan cats from their assumptions, a battle broke out between the two patrols. mistypaw battled fiercely beside her father, impressing him greatly.
- upon their return to camp, rockrumble made his way to newstar's den to inform his leader of mistypaw's progress. it was then decided that mistypaw was worthy enough to receive her warrior name. she was named mistystep, for her ability to come upon her enemy swiftly and silently like the mist.
- a moon after being made a warrior, mistystep was granted her first apprentice, a fierce young she-cat named ashpaw. it was definitely a test on mistystep's part, the warrior soon came to find out, for ashpaw was unruly and not well disciplined. however, mistystep was determined to prevail. despite her brother and sister's taunting about how ashpaw was a thorn in mistystep's side, the grey warrior refused to give up.
- and so it was, 8 moons later, that ashpaw became ashwhisker. the she-cat's temperament had changed from that of a troublesome kit to a well-behaved and fierce warrior, and ashwhisker was not shy about owing it all to mistystep. mistystep humbly accepted the praise, and her prowess within the clan became more well known.
- for several moons, mistystep was at peace. it came as a shock then, when a border patrol returned carrying the fallen body of rockrumble, who had died in battle against a stormclan patrol. mistystep was 30 moons old. @drakefang was also in the battle, and had slain the stormclan deputy mousewhisker. though an intense, and what some might consider unnecessary, action, mistystep defended her friend.
- the loss of her father hit her hard, and she leant on her siblings (now stonefoot and mallowflower, both had become warriors) for support. this brought them close together once again, bringing about a friendship that had drifted apart since their kithood.
- it was a few moons before mistystep felt like herself again, but she still keeps rockrumble close to her heart. she and her siblings still remain close, sleeping near each other in the warrior's den and volunteering for patrols together. as it stands, family is most important to mistystep now.
