LIGHTVOICE of TWILIGHTCLAN
39 MOONS • WARRIOR
SHE-CAT • HETEROSEXUAL
SHORT DESCRIPTION
" pale ginger she-cat with light green eyes. "
PERSONALITY
- one of Lightvoice's most notable traits is how dedicated she is. It doesn't matter the task, be it duty or personal, she always puts her all into everything she does.
- though she has a distinct attention to detail, she still manages to perform well in fast-paced situations whilst maintaining efficiency.
- she is a very intuitive cat, and it is unlikely anything will slip beneath her nose unseen.
- in relation, anything that has a hint of a deceit, or if she senses there is a lie, Lightvoice picks up on it rather immediately. This being said, however, sometimes she waits to address it to the point where it has to boil over in her.
- Lightvoice is not the kind of she-cat to be undermined or continually overlooked. She works hard and enjoys being acknowledged; those who are keen to take advantage of her will find her to have a surprisingly hot-headed temper. Though, in truth it takes quite a bit to get her there.
- she is practical and does not divulge in frivolities often. She is very duty-oriented, and it takes a lot to pull her away from her warrior tasks.
- Lightvoice is a thinker; she spends a lot of time in her head pondering, dwelling and wondering alike. The duties of being a warrior are a good distraction from the confines of her mind.
- whilst she manages to function quite well under stress in comparison to others, it does not stop her from jumping from possibility to possibility about what could go wrong.
- she enjoys familiarity, and the new and unknown can be stressful for her. Lightvoice seemingly always has some kind of plan, and though adapting isn't something she necessarily wants to do, she is capable of it.
- Lightvoice proves to be a fixer, be it purposeful or subconscious; she is bound to be seen cleaning up after others. However, in the wake of this, she manages to keep a tight awareness of herself even if it doesn't seem like it.
- she is quite opinionated and will not hesitate to defend her beliefs and values.
HISTORY
- Brightflame and Lilyfoot were already senior warriors by the time Lilyfoot became with kit. The two had become mates early on, but their work ethic and their duty to their Clan had kept thoughts of a family in the back of their minds.
- their medicine cat warned that the pregnancy was likely to be problematic with the queen's age considered, but as long as Lilyfoot remained healthy and well-fed, it would be less likely that any adverse effects would arise.
- with all the attention on Lilyfoot, the to-be-born kits' father was quick to shrug off a running nose and an ache in his body. As they season of leafbare came upon them, Brightflame's older and weaker immune system fell prey to an outbreak of greencough.
- the bout of sickness was quick to infect several of the Clans' members and appeared to be a particularly resilient case, both medicine cat and their apprentice working overtime to tend to each and every affected cat.
- Lilyfoot, being in the latter half of her pregnancy was distraught about not being able to see her mate, but since most of her body was focused on nurturing the growing life inside her, she could not risk being exposed to greencough.
- just shy of her going into labor, Brightflame passed when he could fight the illness no longer, and in the wake of this tragedy, a small kit bearing her father's pelt was born and named Lightkit.
- though Lilyfoot was heartbroken, in her many moons as a TwilightClanner, she had seen her share of death and life and knew that it was simply part of living in the forest. Even though Lightkit was too young to comprehend it, she would tell her daughter stories about her late father day in and day out.
- once Lightkit became older, she found herself vastly independent in comparison to her denmates, that is, the other kits who also resided in the nursery. Instead of playing with them, she spent a lot of time by herself, exploring camp and watching life go by. Not to say she didn't not want friends, she just... didn't need them.
- though she had never met Brightflame, her mother painted him like valiant warrior of TwilightClan. She couldn't help but wonder if half of the stories Lilyfoot told her were true and what her father actually thought of them. Lightkit found herself missing him, however, curious to what life would have been like had she had both her parents.
- kithood remained uneventful, and it wasn't until she was 6 moons that life became the least bit interesting. A tom by the name of Briarheart became her mentor. He was a younger warrior, much younger than his mother, and Lightpaw couldn't stop herself from thinking that a much more seasoned mentor would be more appropriate. "Like my father was," she'd say.
- Briarheart took little offense to this, assuring her that he knew as much as the next warrior. Lightpaw was not so easily convinced; as she watched him in his hunter's crouch demonstration, she took it upon herself to critique his technique, finding it inadequate for what she understood of hunting. Of course, Briarheart was quite put off, though as Lightpaw seamlessly dipped into her first crouch, he couldn't help his shocked begrudging admiration.
- Lightpaw was a fast learner and an incredible reasoner; if something didn't make sense to her, she wasn't afraid to put voice to it. Her mentor, however, though admiring her ability, would remind her that not everything could be reasoned.
- as in her time in the nursery, the growing apprentice had few friends, finding it difficult to open up to others. Her intelligence became the subject of ridicule for some of the apprentices that she shared a den with.
- a couple of the biggest, baddest apprentices cornered her, even dared to lay their paws on her, trying to goad a reaction out of her. In her peripheral, she spied another bothersome cat, Thunderpaw, and she wanted to roll her eyes so far into her head that she couldn't see anymore. He was an insufferable senior apprentice to say the least, pranced more than he walked and talked more than the two former. The concern in his eyes was unappreciated, and as he approached, Lightpaw lashed her full fury upon the two others who had chosen to gang up on her. Whilst they stood in stunned silence, she couldn't help be saunter smugly right past Thunderpaw with a flicker of her tail over his flank.
- though she had intended that to be the end of the bullying and the end of Thunderpaw's attention, the tom seemed bent on pursuing her friendship after that day. At first, Lightpaw treated him with the full versing of her sarcasm and thorny charm, but he remained insistent, and she couldn't resist liking his determination at the very least.
- perhaps the only sustained relationship she had at the time, she was crushed alongside Thunderpaw when they learned of the death of his parents. Lightpaw offered the sympathy she could and was more than anything surprised to see the usually full-of-himself tom in such a state. Whilst she had not firstpaw experience of the death of her father, she knew the feeling of loss that came with it.
- when Thunderpaw became Thunderheart shortly after the terrible event of his parents' death, Lightpaw found herself strangely at loss. Briarheart's less than challenging training became boring again as she was left with no one to sleep next to in the apprentices' den. He would stop by if not to simply goad her into raising her hackles, though, there was something endearing about that in itself.
- she became Lightvoice several moons later, and the congratulations that came with it warmed her from the inside out. Her mother, well on her way to the elder's den was among the first to cheer her name. Even Briarheart's voice was comforting, though the two had not seen eye to eye. But the eyes she sought out were of Thunderheart's; she had never sought out approval before, but his meant a lot to her.
- life continued on as normal as possible, hunting, patrolling and scent marking day in and day out. Making a nest beside Thunderheart felt right, and she couldn't say exactly what her attachment to him was, though part of her probably didn't want to put it into words, she felt as though that was where she should be.
- when Thunderheart went with his former mentor to investigate two-leg scent, only to come back bloody and injured, Lightvoice wanted to scream at him for putting himself in danger. But the look in his eyes made her hold her tongue; she had never seen Thunderheart shaken like that and could not begin to imagine what he had seen.
- after the incident, things once again became fairly normal, but her concern for Thunderheart's well-being grows with each passing sunrise.
