In addition to the opening announcement, we would also like to post a thread about what exactly is going to happen as we go into June. Since we have opened in the latter half of May, we will not be having an Activity Check, Gathering or medicine cat half-moon meeting this month NOR will we be aging up characters on the turnover. The last week of June will have our first Activity Check, instead. As far as the Gathering and medicine cat meeting, we're not sure yet! It depends on how many high ranks are filled by then, how successfully the site is running, how activity is and et cetera. We will keep you all posted on what we plan to do for June as far as in-character events go.
We will also be working on our first, site-wide plot, so keep an eye out for it!
Also, there has been some confusion on a few things, and I wanted to shed some light on them.
On Warrior's Edge, we wanted to create a fast-paced role-playing environment. That's why we have such a low word-count, and ALSO, it is why our profile applications are designed with "points" instead of a minimum word count. The points are meant to be short, concise and to the, well, point; however, this does not mean they can't be longer, it is just to provide the opportunity to cover the basics and all needed information. I understand some of you have been struggling with keeping it "short and sweet", and I am too, so don't worry! Like I said, the points do not have to be short, but they are designed to be.
There is also a minimum number of points required for each section. This information is listed within the profile template thread. I have added a note at the top of the thread indicating this since it has been missed several times.
Small snippets about each of the eight Clans have been added to THE EIGHT CLANS thread in order to give an idea to what each Clan's core beliefs are, what kind of prey they normally hunt and a bit on the nature of their territory. We hope this helps assist in the creation of future characters; while you are, of course, allowed to deviate from the Clan's status quo, we encourage that the information be taken into account. There are also sections where leaders have provided how they handle certain subjects which we recommend reading as well.
As stated in our opening announcement, we will be working on more backstory in the coming weeks and hope to have even more information for you as soon as possible!
