PERSONALITY
- fierce; lichenfur is a fierce she-cat with a fiery personality. she seems out of place in the calm, spiritual home of whisperclan. in truth, her passion matches her dedication to her religion. she is fierce both on the battlefield, and in her belief to starclan.
- sarcastic; lichenfur always has a sarcastic quip to make. she finds it easy to poke fun at her fellow warriors, and is often scolded for her behaviour.
- devout; a strong belief in her warrior ancestors is what truly makes lichenfur the whisperclan cat she is. her faith is unshakable, and she often turns to starclan for guidance.
- curious; lichenfur has an always yearning curiosity. rather than fall into step alongside her clanmates, she longs to see what other wonders the world has to offer. most nights she'll lie awake, watching the stars from outside her den and wondering who else their light reaches.
- playful; down to her core, lichenfur is a playful cat, especially with her younger siblings. dewfoot looks down upon her for this, scolding her and saying she is no longer a kit and should act like a true warrior.
- reckless; her fiery personality makes her reckless. she often makes decisions on impulse and without thinking of the consequences.
- daredevil; always the risk taker, lichenfur loves to 'bend' (not break!) the rules. however, while it might be fun for a while, she always suffers the repercussions of her actions. usually by cleaning out the elders den - euck.
- heart-on-her-sleeve; despite her fiery personality, lichenfur is an emotional girl. she wears her heart on her sleeve and is easily wounded by harsh words that target her insecurities.
- holds grudges; if wronged, lichenfur is not quick to forgive. holding a grudge is one thing she can do without fault, and when you're on her bad side, you're usually never getting off of it.
HISTORY
- born to spottedpelt and boulderclaw of whisperclan, lichenfur was the little sister. dewkit was born first, and was much larger than her sister. while dewkit bore boulderclaw's handsome grey pelt, lichenkit looked like her mother - tortoiseshell, but with the grey-stained fur of her father.
- even as a kit, lichenfur was trouble. she would often escape the nursery to go on adventures in the clan with the other nursery kittens, notably graykit and mousekit, her two childhood friends. together, the three of them would wreak havoc on the elders den, the medicine cat's den, and yes, even the leader's den.
- after a long, tiring six moons, they were finally to be apprentices. every one of the senior warriors was glad they hadn't been chosen for lichenpaw's mentor. instead, she was given to a patient young she-cat named rainflower.
- to say that lichenpaw would test rainflower's patient would be an understatement, but she never did give up (or in). instead, rainflower found ways to train lichenpaw in a way that her apprentice would find fun and challenging. what seemed like 'games' while they were out training was rainflower's way of teaching lichenpaw essential survival means.
- being named a warrior was the proudest moment in lichenfur's life. that night she sat vigil with dewfoot, mousebelly, and graystorm, tremblimg with excitement. rainflower's training had left the young warrior with a hunger to learn new things, to try them, to perfect them even. there was so much out there in the world, just waiting for her.
- not too long after her naming ceremony, spottedpelt gave birth to a litter of three, lichenfur's little siblings. immediately the she-cat fell in love with her younger siblings, as dewfoot had never been any fun as a kit. lichenfur was an excellent playmate - even if a bad influence.
- when her siblings became apprentices, lichenfur had hoped to mentor one of them. however, she was passed up for more senior warriors. lichenfur remains a bit bitter about this still, but when no one is around she'll sneak off to watch her siblings train - and sometimes even teach them a few of her tricks!
